Gatherings / Galas
Galas
The Society in full. Black tie, the whole membership, and an evening built to be remembered. Galas mark the turning of a season and the milestones of the Society itself.

The Occasion
What sets a Gala apart.
The Whole Membership
Where a Dinner is a dozen, a Gala is everyone. It is the one evening each season when the full membership, across every city, is welcomed under one roof.
Black Tie
A Gala is dressed for. It is the Society’s most formal occasion, and the formality is deliberate: an evening built to be remembered asks a little more of everyone in the room.
The Principal’s Table
Members of the Circle are seated at the principal’s table, the evening’s most visible mark of the Society’s inner standing.
The Milestones
Galas are timed to the turning of a season or a milestone in the Society’s own history, an anniversary, an opening in a new city, the close of a year worth marking properly.
The Evenings Members Plan Around
For many members, the Gala is the evening they plan their year around.
It is held in a place worthy of the occasion, and it is the one night the whole Society, across every city, is in the same room.
Also Convened
Two other ways the Society gathers.
Dinners
The Society’s most frequent and most personal gathering: small tables, chosen guests, one long evening.
Salons
Closed-room conversations on the questions of the moment, led by the members who know them best.
